2023 in One Word

2023 envision journal manifest mantra meditation new year new year resolutions one word reflection vision board woty Dec 26, 2022

What's that one thing that comes to mind when you think about the coming year?

For me, creating an inspired theme for the upcoming year allows you to manifest more, while also staying grounded and secure in the waiting phases of sowing your harvest.

In the Goddess classes, participants are asked to do a "free write". And write down the first word that comes to mind about what you want to accomplish, be, see, or do, or do more of in the class, or the upcoming year, depending on the season of each class.

It was magical for each person to return to me in awe and full of surprise as a word was downloaded to them and then played out over the next 3, 6, 9, months or over the entire year. Most of the time the manifestations came quickly and in 3 months a spiritual shift allowed them more clarity confidence and strength around their purpose.

So, in this article, I urge you to get rid of a new years resolution which will fail you by March anyway. Why do i say this? Because the REAL NEW YEAR starts at the Spring Equinox when the earth wakes up and everything is new in the northern hemisphere. Our calendar restarts in January, while we are cold, the greenery is dead, animals hibernate, and nothing grows. The spring is a rebirth time, and the natural new beginning in all areas of life.

Now is the time for preparation. Then begin your new year commitments in March and watch everything flourish.

The inspiration that I used is based upon a book by Dan Briton et al. It highlights choosing a Word of the Year vs. New Year’s Resolution because it helps bring focus and clarity to what we want to create in our lives. This isn’t about crossing another goal off your list. It’s about creating a one-word mantra to help guide your daily actions and become a better version of yourself. It is tapping into your higher self while It’s about giving your soul what it needs to manifest your Divine Assignments.

STEP 1: GET QUIET
Finding your word is an inner exercise, get quiet (you can but don't have to meditate) and write down every word that comes to mind.

STEP 2: REFLECT

The next thing I want you to do is to reflect on this past year and ask yourself these questions. Jot down whatever pops into your head WITHOUT OVER THINKING

  •  What could I use more of in my life?
  •  What could I use less of in my life?
  • What do I want to be?
  •  What characteristics would I like to have?
  •  How do I want to feel?
  • Where am I going?
  • When would I like to get there?
  • What do I want to do?

STEP 3: ENVISION

Close your Dual vision and open your 3rd eye. Envision what the perfect day would feel like, the emphasis here is “Feel”. Engage your 5 senses. First smudge your space with sage, Palo Santo, Sweetgrass, or incense. Set your intentions. Set the mood and engage your subconscious by putting some music on. Next, turn on an aromatherapy diffuser, peppermint, frankincense or lemon use the power of scent to help open the third eye.  You might want to light a candle, and then turn off the lights.  You’d be amazed how being still can help your intuition shine through and bring your word to the forefront.

STEP 4: CREATE A WORD BUBBLE

You can spend 10 minutes with all of the words that have come to mind, no self-editing, or overthinking! Need some help? Here are some examples:

STEP 5: REVIEW & REFINE

Review your word bubble and narrow down your favorites. Then circle or highlight the 3 words that resonate most with you.

STEP 6: ASK YOURSELF THIS VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION

Now that you narrowed down your list to three words, there’s just one more question to ask: So tell me, Are these words from my HEART or my MIND?

If you’re thinking your way through this, then chances are you’ll make excuses as to why you’re not putting forth the effort to actually make changes. But if you’re convicted about making changes and can see your way to the other side, you’ll do whatever it takes to implement that word and bring more of it into your life.

WHAT’S YOUR 2022 WORD OF THE YEAR?

Choose one of the 3 words left and use your word as a mantra or affirmation during your daily meditation.

Put your word on your phone, on your mirror, on sticky notes at your desk. Write down your 2023 word in your calendar, planner, or journal. I write my word of the year in my journal (and my phone notes) and add use my word as my theme for my vision board.

I hope that you enjoy this as much as I do every year!
Happy New Year,

Rhonda
